To the only wise God our Saviour be glory and majesty, dominion, and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 1:25).
The earth is filled with countless idol gods. Idol gods are lifeless, they have no wisdom, knowledge, or intelligence following their claim of triumph, yet they are honored by many worshipers. In contrast, there is One God, The True and Living God, the Only Wise God (Jude 1:25) who is so perfect in Wisdom that it is not possible that any false god can compare.
God is the wisdom who created the world and everything in it. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. (St. John 1:3). He is the Architect by which everything exists. He alone is Sovereign, and His knowledge transcends all understanding.
This Only Wise God has proven to be flawless in power, encompassing all wisdom, and all-embracing of pure righteousness. He has continuous and unending existence. So Holy Devine, He is Omniscient (having infinite knowledge), Omnipotent (having unlimited power), and Omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time). His understanding is beyond searching and His knowledge is past finding out (Romans 11:33). Everything operates and moves at His unmatched command. It is He who has the undisputed right of dominion over the world. Above the thousands upon thousands of idol gods in the world, The Only Wise God stands alone and rules with undivided power and authority unwaveringly.
God’s extraordinary and remarkable Wisdom is freely allocated to humanity. He is ready to apportion it to those who ask. He stated, “If anyone lack wisdom ask God,” (James 1:5). Freely ask, freely receive.
God granted Solomon unsurpassed wisdom when he became King. Solomon was allowed to receive whatsoever he desired of God. When he expressed a desire for wisdom, God granted his request and blessed him beyond measure. The wisdom Solomon acquired from God caused him to be declared wiser than all men (1 Kings 4:30).
The Wise and Most Holy God has unblemished judgement and superior understanding of all humanity. He is wise in all disciplines, complete and absolute in everything. He is beyond Majestic and His glory is set above the Heavens.
Who can measure the waters in the hollow of His hand or measure the dust of the earth by His very own knowledge? None but the Only Wise God! Who can weigh the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance? None but the Only Wise God! (Is. 40:12). In His Wisdom, He stretched out the Heavens as a curtain and spread them out as a tent to dwell in. (Is. 40:22).
Before His Presence there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Him. (Is. 43:10). When no one else can testify of Him, He testifies of Himself. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside Me there is no Savior. (Is. 43:11). Further testifying of Himself, He declares, I form light and create darkness: I make peace and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. Is. 45:7. This Only Wise God, in His unrestricted power, does not faint neither does He get weary. (Is. 40:28). His truthful claim is, I am the First, and I am the Last; and beside Me there is no God (Isaiah 40:12- 45:7).
Obtaining wisdom from the Only Wise God is one of mankind’s most important actions. Receiving such wisdom allows one to deal with circumstances in the best manner and achieve the greatest outcome. Not utilizing God-given wisdom will always take an individual further from the desired results. The lack of wisdom will cause one to say things that were not intended and to commit to matters and encounter situations that could have been avoided. Without wisdom there is no balance.
The wisest decision to make in life is to reverence the Only Wise God, who is the Only Supreme Being and Originator of creation. Devotion to Him brings long life and wealth, abundant respect, and admiration. It is He who enables humanity the freedom to eat of the tree of life in the midst of the Paradise of God. “Wisdom is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her,” (Prov. 3:18). Wisdom is only attainable from the Only Wise God, who is the giver of breath to every soul (Gen. 2:7).
Prayer is Key: Dear Lord, I thank You for Your infinite Wisdom. I ask that You help me to become wiser each day to live my life well-pleasing unto You. I ask that You position Your Wisdom to operate in full authority in my heart. I further ask You to help me to always live in compliance with Your Wisdom. In Jesus Name, Amen.
